How Can I Be Forgiven?

Jesus paid the penalty for everyone's sins but it is all up to us (individually) to accept the free gift of eternal life. God has a purpose for everyone's life whether you believe in Him or not. The Bible tells us clearly: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." —John 3:16 (NIV)

God loves all of Him children (you and I) so dearly that He wanted to give us a choice-Accept His love or reject the free gift of eternal life with Him forever. Sadly, many have made a choice to disobey God and went thier willful ways. This caused a SEPARATION from God. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." —Romans 3:23 (NIV).  The Holy Bible clearly states: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." —Romans 6:23 (NIV).

We do not desserve the love of God for we all are wickedly sinful. A division between God and man was formed and the only person who can bridge that gap is Jesus Christ. "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ." —1 Timothy 2:5 (NIV). Jesus, the Son of God paid the complete panalty for all our sins as He went through torture and execution on the cross just becuase He loves us! "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
—Romans 5:8 (NIV)

God wants you to be His son or daughter no matter who you are or what you have done. Yes, you can come to the Father just as you are-hurt or broken-hearted. He knows your pain because he created you, lived, and walked the same human life over 2,000 years ago.

Our only response to all this is to place our faith and trust in Jesus Christ and repent for all our sins that we've done (He knows all your sins since the beggining of times). God wants your sincere heart that is copletely broken before Him so He can fill it with His unfailing love! That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. —Romans 10:9 (NIV); Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. —John 1:12 (NIV).

If you desire to begin a relationship with God today, you may pray this short prayer as God's listening to you:

~~Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen.~~

From now on God will never leave you or forsake you, you are His child and He is rejoicing as you turned your life around to glorify His holy name!  Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  —Romans 10:13 (NIV)
